Summer Camp
"Hekiat" camp is of special importance in Shirakatsy Lyceum, which has been accepting campers since 1990.
Camp "Hekiat" is an ideal continuation of the curriculum, which aims to enrich students' daily lives during the two-week summer vacation by including a variety of programs, cultural activities, and educational games that promote engagement.
Summer camp helps students develop and form their own value system, acquire new skills, combining it with pleasant entertainment. The summer camp also helps students overcome their complexes by involving them in various activities (national song and dance, theater performances, etc.). The camp has a great contribution to the development of the constructive and ideological way of thinking, as well as the worldview of each student.
The first 4 days of the camp are devoted to military-themed training, which includes tactical physical training, fire training, and first aid. The participants' day is also filled with joyful singing and dancing, sports, hiking, opening and closing ceremonies and a bonfire.
One of the distinguishing features is the tradition of neckties in the camp, according to the color distinction: red, blue, orange.
For Lyceum student Lilit Topuzyan, the camp was a great opportunity for closeness with new people, and she considered the idea of the camp to be unity. "Every student should participate in the camp once, it is such an experience in a person's life that everyone should take advantage of and feel how those few days turn into a fairy tale," said Lusine Khachatryan, another camper.
