• In academic years 1995-1996 National Chemistry Olympiad is organized and held at the Lyceum.
• In academic years 1995-1996 National Biology Olympiad is organized and held at the Lyceum.
• April 22 - The theater studio of the Lyceum presents the premiere of "Robinson" by I.Ilf and Yev. Petrov.

The Lyceum's third graduation ceremony is taking place.

• The non-governmental organization "Shirakatsy Lyceum" is established.
• November 15 - An evening dedicated to repatriation takes place. The Lyceum hosts actor Yervand Manaryan, singers Hovhannes and Nune Badalyan.
• November 29 - RA Prime Minister Armen Sargsyan visits the Lyceum. The "Lraber" program of public television presents the Prime Minister's visit to the Lyceum.

A New Year's masquerade is held in the Lyceum.
